Our multi-national team consists of experts in semiconductor processing, physics, sensors, mechanical, and RF design, with a strong background in the wireless communication industry.
We are devoted to the design and commercialization of products based on our patented NanoEMS™ technologies.

Chairman of the Board
Joan has an Engineering Doctorate in Electronics and Political Science and has held many senior industrial and governmental positions including Minister of Industry in the Spanish Government and Senior Advisor to the European Commission (Brussels).
Industrial roles include European Chairman of Telesincro Computers, Chairman of Olivetti Spain, Chairman of WG Information Society Forum (Brussels), Chairman of EIM (Düsseldorf), Director General of TV3 (Catalan CCRTV) and Chairman of Impulsa TDT (Platform for introduction of digital TV in Spain).

Manuel is a distinguished Industrial Engineer and Information Technology entrepreneur, with an Engineering Doctorate and MBA from IESE (Barcelona).
He has more than 30 years of experience in the ITC market, and is Founder and Chairman of Santa Barbara, one of Spain’s largest and well established IT wholesalers.
Chief Executive Officer
Dave is a highly successful industry veteran with over 28 years experience, having started his career in semiconductor sales with the likes of Ferranti, Plessey and then Motorola.
In 1991 he moved to European sales management roles in EDA with Intergraph and then VeriBest/Mentor Graphics. He joined the management team at ARC International in 1999 and helped in the company’s floatation in 2000, which was the biggest LSE IPO of that year.
His last role at ARC was VP of Worldwide Field Operations until he was headhunted for the role of Baolab CEO in 2008 with the task of commercialising the company’s patented, disruptive NanoEMS™ technology for creating MEMS within a CMOS wafer.
Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer
Josep received an M.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from UPC (Barcelona) in 1996.
He has 13 years of experience in the electronics and software industries and 6 years in the MEMS field. His work on his Ph.D thesis for a novel design for an RF MEMS was the inspiration for the founding of Baolab in 2003.
He continues to pioneer the development of MEMS with his work as CTO at Baolab driving the NanoEMS™ technology.
